Fundraising Team Report
The Parish Social and Fundraising Team is a small but dedicated group of parishioners and our aim is to help to bring the people of the parish together as a community and a family, helping and caring for each other and our church
In the last year we have organised events, social and fundraising, that have been successful in raising much needed funds for our church development fund and to support other maintenance and development projects within the church. We have achieved this through our Christmas and Easter Raffles, our Sponsored Walk, Summer Fete, Christmas Quiz, and Christmas fair. We continue to support our St Simon Stock Feast Day celebrations which continues to be well received within the parish.
We have a very dedicated group of loyal helpers and are extremely grateful for all they do for us, including the ladies from the UCM and the parents and teachers from St Thomas More School, as well as all those who come to help and support us at our events.
Sitting alongside us are our ladies, coordinated by Janet King who make delicious cakes throughout the year for the parish. We have Jacqui Simpson who organises all the parish theatre, show and Christmas Market trips. Our ladies who each and every week provide cake and biscuits with tea and coffee after mass. Alfredo who organises and co-ordinates the parish 100 Club. And we have Mavis who makes all the beautiful handmade cards you can buy in the parish hall every week and for the children celebrating their First Holy Communion.
