Gift Aid Report for 2021-22

Gift Aid is a scheme intended to give financial assistance to charities in recognition of the important role they play in society. The Scheme is open to all taxpayers – parishioners who pay income tax or taxes on pensions, dividends or building society interest.

In 2021-22, 29 parishioners paid into collections using envelopes, compared with 61 in 2019-20, the reduction being partly due to reduced attendance and partly due to parishioners switching to payment by bankers’ orders. 66 parishioners paid by monthly or weekly standing order, compared with 59 in 2019-20. Thus, a total of 95 families participated in the Gift Aid Scheme in 2021-22, compared with 120 in 2019-20.

The Gift Aid Scheme is administered by me through a Diocesan website.

Gift Aid income is vital to the Parish, so a big “Thank you” to all parishioners who participate in the Scheme.

If you are a member of the Gift Aid Scheme and cease to pay taxes, please let me know (Tel: 01634 862125).
