Report for AGM 2022
Since the last report, our final session was 20th January 2020, after which, we did not have any more meetings due to COVID. We met with Father Pawel to discuss the way forward and to plan future diary dates. We recommenced our sessions in November last year, following a Mass dedicated to the Bereaved in the Parish in October.
Thankfully, we have been able to offer a hand of friendship and support, to help those in the Parish cope with the loss of dear ones, who were unable to do so due to the pandemic.
It has been a difficult time over the last two years and hopefully, we can continue to be there for anyone who would like our support, in a small and informal gathering.
It must be stressed that we are not professional counsellors but are here to offer a ‘listening ear’, sharing experiences and providing help in the form of agencies and other resources that might benefit those who need them.
A reminder that the group meets from 7pm to 9pm, on the second Tuesday of every month. There will always be a reminder of dates and times in the newsletter and on the poster in the entrance hall.
Should this be for you, please come along to next month’s meeting, or speak to any of our group, whose names are on the poster. Alternatively, speak to Father Pawel.
God Bless
To finish, a quote from a past contributor :
“Thanks to the Bereavement Group, after a year of coping on my own, I was able to live with my loss”
